If you disable this function for web sites and forms in
the IE browser is there some reason this function continue
to work after disabling the AutoComplete. In otherwords
would someone still go to a site they login on and still
have drop down menu list of the past logon ids used or for
it begin to prefill the logon info. If so what would the
fix be to issue? Re-install the IE browser? What?

The information is stored in the registry. I found a handy tool to clean old
and active account data from the registry including input to forms.
Try Protected Storage PassView v1.60 Freeware from

This utility reveals the passwords stored on your computer by Internet
Explorer, Outlook Express and POP3 accounts of MS-Outlook. The passwords are
revealed by reading the information from the Protected Storage.
