I am using Nero and it required that Auto Insert
Notification be DISABLED on ALL CD/DVD Drives. How is this
done in Windows 2000 Pro. in previous versions of Windows
it was on the settings tab of the drives property page in
device manager, but not in Windows 2000 Pro.

Instead of "Auto Insert Notification", Win2K has "autorun".
There are two ways to disable it, either by using TweakUI:
http://www.microsoft.com/ntworkstation/downloads/powertoys/networking/nttweakui.asp

or by editing the registry directly:

Start/Run/regedit, navigate to:
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdrom and set
"Autorun" to zero (0). Reboot after making the change.

Run gpedit.msc and configure either Computer or User
Configuration/AdministrativeTemplates/System/DisableAutoplay.
