Disabling "Alerter" service implications

I will be disabling "messenger" on all my workstations.
How about "Alerter" service ? Any known issue when disabling that one ?

If you are not using it, there should not be a problem. It is commonly used for
administrative alerts such as configuring performance counter threshold alerts. --
