I am a freelance correspondent and 911 dispatcher. I do
computer work for friends but am not a hacker/expert. Our
community center had computers donated by a large
university, complete with admin. passwords. The university
people have come and gone -2 years, leaving the present
director (my friend) with no idea how to access the admin.
account. The public (kids) are coming in and somehow
accessing some questionable sites. I need to install some
security for her but can't because of the unknown admin.
password. The computers are running Windows 2000 Pro.
Please help -- if I can reformat the disks on 8 computers,
it will save my town/taxpayers tons of money.

If you want to reformat the disks, you don't need the admin password.
Just boot from the Windows 2000 Pro CDs and reinstall, reformatting when
prompted to do so.
