Hi,

On a Windows XP Prof. box, 2000 Professional box and a 2003 server, I
changed the setting for 0 to 1 in the registry to have the kernel memory
loaded in to the Ram. When I rebooted the machines respectivley, accroding
to the task manager, the system was still paging about 2/3 of the kernel
memory to disk. Is there another key that I need to change/add?

TIA,

Demo

What's the exact location of the key you changed? It should be:
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management

Also, third-party drivers (esp. video and audio) can be part or
most of this kernel memory, and is not affected by this setting.

Thanks Rick,

Yes that was the exact key that I changed. I didn't know that 3rd party
drivers could add to the kernel memory. But it seem funny that the memory
did not change at all. My systems show about 4 MB in main memory and about
27MB being paged. I sure would like to reverse these numbers. Any other
suggestions?

Thanks,

Demo
