I've just recently recieved a DELL latitude D820 with windows XP
service pack 2 installed. I've been installing different kind of
software, when I've noticed, that @ is disabled. The 2-key works fine,
and so does Alt Gr. I've tryed to remove the keyboard from
the list of hardware units, and for 1-2 sec. after the following
reboot, I was able to type the @ - but then it was disabled again.

Does anyone have any idea, where to look for this issue?

TIA.

I've tryed that and it is set to Danish as the only installed
keyboard/language. I've should have mentioned, that @ is not
disabled at the logon screen, so my guees is, that something
disables it during the startup processs

If that is the case, my approach would be to click start, run, type in
msconfig and change the 'startup' items till you find what is causing it.
