LookingFor

About the time that Micro$oft brought out XP a freeware progam showed up
that would allow you to secure windows restrictions and policies that were
set by default in XP. I at one time had the program site bookmarked but
after several crashes and a new PC have lost access to the site.

Does anybody know of a program out there that will give the user the
ability to turn funcions on and off in XP? Wan't to be able to disable
some of the built in features that comes with XP.

I use Xp Antispy from the kickme site. Can't remember if it's freeware
though, if not apologies for mentioning it on this NG.

Well you could use gpedit - type gpedit.msc in the Run box.

Thank's JonC,

That was in fact the program and I have loaded it and made the changes that
I desired. I have a problem when Micro$oft wants to controle what I bought
and paid for.
