Hi,

I have an Acer Aspire 9420 with Vista home premium. Each time I startup,
wireless is on even if the laptop is connected to network with ethernet
câble. How can I automaticly disable wireless when a network cable is
connected OR disable wireless on startup and turn it on with the switch on
keybord ?

Many thanks,
P.

You will probably need some utility from Acer to map it to the keyboard.

I don't understand why this matters though as even if there is a wireless
network around to which you have a profile setup and you connect via
Ethernet Vista will use the Ethernet and not the wireless.

Look in your BIOS for a default setting. On/Off
Don't know about ACER but some laptops work this way.
