I have a Gateway M675 laptop (2002). Have recently had hard drive replaced,
Operating system: Microsoft Windows XP SP3 prof.
Cannot "disable" touch pad on laptop and "enable" mouse.
Was able to do it with old hard drive and system.
Have tried Control Panel; Printers and Faxes; have "added" Synaptics Mouse;
but can't get any further...
Am I missing maybe a "driver"??

I also have the same problem with the "audio" (No audio)
Control Panel; Volume Control is "faded" so indicates that maybe also
missing some kind of "driver?"
This also notes that "no audio device detected."

Perhaps who installed neglected to add something????

Thank you for your help...
