disable "this computer is in use and has been locked"

In a computer lab we need to disable "this computer is in use and has been locked"
It applies whenever someone leaves the lab without logging off the computer.
We tried a group policy change that didn't work

a related issue is-
I would like to force logoff after the computers are idle for 30 minutes
