disable "shift" enter feature

Is there a way i can disable the shift enter feature which allows the user to
go righ to the tables? I don't want them to be able to copy them and paste them
into excel etc.

I have them hidden on startup but this is easily bypassed by hitting shift then
enter when opening the application

Thanks
Steve

Of course, even if the shift key has been locked, there's nothing to stop
users from importing the tables into another database.

PLEASE DON'T MULTI-POST! That is where you send the same message seperately
to different newsgroups. Multiposting is BAD, & wastes everyones' time.

Instead, CROSS-post. That is where you send the message >once<, to several
newsgroups simultaneously, by entering all the relevant newsgroup names in
the Newsgroups: line of just one post.

Search the web for the terms multipost, crosspost & netiquette for more
information about these issues.

Go to Tools
Then Start Up
Then Advanced and uncheck special keys. Once this is
unchecked even the programmer can't open the file to edit
objects. Look into creating an MDE file for the users.

That does NOT disable the Shift Key on enter feature. That requires a bit
of code to add and set a new property on the database. Even doing that
does not mean "...even the programmer can't open the file to edit objects."
since unless done in conjunction with User-Level security anyone who knows
how to disable shift-on-enter would also know how to re-enable it.

Hi Steve,

I noticed that the issue was posted in Newsgroup
microsoft.public.access.security. I found many community members has given
your the solutions and some links for that.

If you have follow up questions, please post there and I will work with you.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Sincerely yours,
