I know how to work with group policy objects but there is one thing I can't
manage:
How do I disable services on my winXP clients? My DC is win2kserver.
I do find system services in the gpo-editor. I select the wanted one and
disable it but then I don't know which security I have to add and I also
don't know where I have to apply the object.

The GPO with the disabled object should be applied to the OU or container
where the WINXP Client machines are. This would cause all the objects in
the OU/Container to apply the GPO. Alternatively, you could use a security
group solution where the security group contains the computers you want the
GPO to apply to and the security group is given Apply access to the GPO (of
course you would have to remove the Apply access from Authenticated Users as
well).

What security are you referrings to (i.e., GPO or service) ???
