How can I disable Outlook from formatting phone numbers? It inserts a blank
after the third number and it messes up the synchronization with my mobile
phone. Thank you

Unbelievable, but thanks :)

You can't. Masking of phone numbers is hard coded.

Not really. Outlook serves as the database for countless synch programs. Its
job is to present a consistent interface. If the synch software has a
special formatting need, it is up to the developers of that software to
provide it.

Well, I have to disagree, a strong and good program such as Microsoft's
Outlook, should allow the user set his/her own parameters and formatting. But
anyway, this is not the place to discuss this. Keep up the good work, and
best regards

You'd think that if Outlook was trying to provide a consistent interface
that it would use the ITU-T E.123 international formatting standard.
Or, omit the punctuation altogether and provide only digits in exported
phone numbers.

It would be nice to be able to specify the formatting mask as part of
the view customization, while exporting and programatic access continues
to use the "standard" format.
