Hello
I would like to disable all sound when visiting web pages

NO, I do not want to set my sound control to mute as some tech support
people have suggested.
I have Internet option "play sounds" set to NO
I have deleted Macro media flash shit
and still some pages generate sound.

Is there any way to do this?

Thank you

Hi Patch :-)

Well....you don't tell us the version of Windows you are using, which would
really help.

Wouldn't think of it.

Try this......see if it does what you want.

Go to Start>Settings>Control Panel>Sounds>
Set the Windows Explorer "Start Navigation" and "Stop Navigation" to none.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your response

I like to listen to music with headphones and some web sites play sound
effects, midis, music and whatnot at such a high volume level that it
knocks my headphones off the back of my head

I deleted all Windows bells, whistles and dings years ago.
I deleted the Flash players.
I have tried to delete Window Media player

Still some web sites are able to make noise.

Careful, here comes one now

Windows XP Pro SP2
MS Internet Explorer 6.0.2900.2180
WinAmp 3.91
Window Media player?(never used it)
Boxers

All I want is for my pc to be completely silent unless I tell it otherwise.
Ignore all instructions from web sites to make noise of any kind unless I
say it's ok.

Thank you

Hi Patch :-)

Sorry...I just don't know of any way in IE to do that. Perhaps someone else
here has information that will be what you need.

Good luck! :-)
