Hi

I have a HP 3822 printer that takes hp c6615n (15) black and hp6578d
(78) colour cartridges.

The black was running out so I recently purchased a DIY refil pack the
refill was successful but I have since discovered the ink monitor may
or may not stop the cartridge working once it thinks it is empty.

How or can I disable this feature?

Thanks in advance
Mark

I'm not familiar with the 3822, but I am with the 930 and 5550 printers so the
following may work.

Get the HP Toolbox or Printer Assistant on screen, click on 'About' and then
hold the Control key down while double-clicking on the main icon. A new window
will appear, probably behind the Toolbox window so bring it to the front via the
taskbar, and there will be several options available, one of which will be to
disable the ink level monitoring and error messages.

Otherwise, search for info on taping over contacts to reset the ink levels to
100%.

Just rotate 3 carts through the printer to get correct ink levels again, the
printer can only remember 2 carts ID numbers.

Hi

Followed taping procedure.

Worked fine on the colour cartridge but not on the black cartridge.
this included following the extra taping needed if taping the top four
contacts did not work ie top 3 then top 2.

I have n't got spare cartridges.

Any more ideas

Hi

Taping procedure was the sames as already used.

However ther was another procedure involving taking the catridge out
and powering down printer for 20 seca then power up, leave for 20 secs
repeat 5 times and hey presto ink monitor is reset.

Cheers
