Disable Help Tips at Mouse Pointer

Hi all

How do I stop those annoying "tips" that appear when you stop your cursor on
any icon?
They can obliterate half the screen at times!

In TweakUI > General disable "Mouse hot tracking effects". In the
Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > View > disable "Show pop-up
information for folder and desktop items".

I'm not actually using windows xp now, (it is on my computer at home
so cannot test this to be sure, but one of these will work

Right click on the Taskbar and select Properties. Assuming you ar
using the Classic style Start Menu, on the Advanced tab there shoul
be a check box for displaying Balloon Tips

If this does not work - try downloading Tweak UI from Microsoft
website, which is a free utility that you can use to customise load
of Windows settings. This is worth having anyway..
