No... Disable it... Like in Computer Management

You can uninstall it. However, on the next boot, W2K will find it and install
it again.

It might be better if you indicate _why_ you want to do this. It may be that
you are thinking of an unsuitable solution.

You can disable it on the first page of properties in the device
manager:

1. Open device manager
2. Get the properties window of the device you want to disable
3. select disabled from the dropdown/select/combo-box
4. hit ok
