Hi,

I occassionally get a message popping up saying I do not have the
correct system files in Win XP. Is there a way to disable Windows
file protection?

Thanks

Well, yes there is.
However, there should be nothing you would normally do that would change
system files like that - you have another problem you may want to check out
or you are purposely doing something to change system files and you left
that part out?

Hi,

The problem started when I first installed Office 97 which is not
intended for XP though it works perfectly.

I prefer it to Office 2000 and want to keep using it so would like to
turn off the message/disable file checking.

How do you turn it off?

Thanks
