Hi. I've built a cute little local HTML home page to use
as the desktop for my computer. It's basically got 5
cute pictures on it which are hyperlinks to a few fun
songs and games for my 3 1/2 year old who is just
starting to learn the machine.
I have one nasty problem. He has a tendency to hold down
the mouse button a little longer than a standard click
and what happens is that if he holds down the button for
even a split second and drags on one of the pictures, a
hyperlink shortcut is copied from the graphic to the
desktop. Really not a big deal except if he does it
twice then the dialogue box comes up asking if the old
one should be copied over or not. Total devastation for
a 3 1/2 year old! How do I disable this idea of dragging
and snagging these shortcuts from the web page on the
desktop? I can't seem to figure out if it's a lock in
the web page programming or setting (can't find
anything); if it's a mouse setting - nothing seems to
work there; or if it's a Windows setting. Please help.
