Disable Automatic Update

Hi,

I have a question about disabling auto-update service.
I can do it by disalbe the service on local computer, or
by defining a new policy to disable the automatic update.
What is the difference?

There is no real difference. I would use the GPO option to disable many
computers. For one PC disabling the service locally would suffice.
