Disable auto open

How do I disable this "feature". I do not want OE to
automatically open the next unread E-mail when I delete
the previous one!! I have OE 6 on Windows XP Pro
 
turn off the preview pane. AFAIK, there isn't an option to control which
message is selected next, but try www.tomsterdam.com/insideOE/index.htm...

(what do you expect it will do if it doesn't select the next message?)
