I hope this is the right NG for this question. If not please point me to
the right one.
I'm trying to disable animation when maximizing and minimizing windows.
I went into system properties, advanced tab, performance settings
button, checked the "custom" radio button, and cleared the "animate
windows..." checkbox. Then I clicked apply, ok, ok.
All is fine four about an hour (sometimes less), then all of the sudden
my windows are using animation again when minimizing/maximizing. When I
go back and reexamine the check box, it checked again! What would reset
that setting apart from me doing manually (which I am not doing)?
I'm using XP Pro, SP2, with all updates applied.
Programs normally running are: Outlook 2003, Office 2003, Putty,
Pageant, Thunderbird (for usenet), Yahoo IM, Hotsync, and Firefox.
Thanks.
