I just purchased a GeForce graphics card with 128mb. I installed the new
driver but under DirectX Diagnostic tool under “display†it says aprox total
memory n/a and under the “main driver†it says tsirchnl.dll this is not the
driver I installed and it should say 128mb on total memory.

But under device manager it has the correct driver and shows the correct
memory.

I looked for DirectX under uninstall program but couldn’t find it. I thought
if I uninstalled it then reinstalled it would show the correct information.

Is this a problem with DirectX? Does anyone have an idea?

Please help

To uninstall DirectX you will have to do a search on Google for an
uninstaller - Microsoft does not provide one.

Did you restart after installing the drivers? If no, suggest doing so and
then rechecking dxdiag info.

The Dx diagnostic tool reports information that the card and the system
hand off to it. If incorrect, it is more likely an error somewhere else in
the configuration. DxDiag can also perform tests. These are interactive and
provided in each Dx category.

Unless you see problems listed in the bottom section of each page, there's
no immediate need to reinstall directx. If you feel it's necessary though
or would like to try, version 9.0c (the one included with SP2) is available
for download here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...20-bfbb-4799-9908-d418cdeac197&DisplayLang=en

Also... Have you tried reinstalling the driver? Or checking the GeForce
website for driver downloads? It's not unusual for the drivers at the
manufacturer's website to be more current than the ones that ship with the
card.
