But default, windows 2000 SP4 comes without DirectX 9c? This should be
installed after windows installation?

Regards

It looks like you have to activate the Windows Genuine Advantage to
get the update, is that correct?? If so......I'll pass!!

Is this direct link you specified related to this version? =>

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...20-BFBB-4799-9908-D418CDEAC197&displaylang=en

This link is "DirectX 9.0c End-User Runtime" and your original links is
"DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer".
Does it possible get runtime pack, to install without communication with web
during installatuion?

But what is difference between this

799-9908-D418CDEAC197&displaylang=en
(9.0c) and this

a40-bd00-f0fb2a71e99f&DisplayLang=en
(9.18.944) ?

Both is specified for Windows 2000.

If you'll read what versions both support you'll see v9.0c does not
support Vista, v9.1 does. Also, v9.0c supports Win98, v9.1 does not.
Lastly v9.1 will have the latest bi-monthly updated D3DX, XInput, and
Managed DirectX components, v9.0c will not.

But since win-2000 is not supported anymore, additional functions and
bi-monthly updates that will have Directx v9.1, may be useless for Win2000.
