directX 9

Just installed new Nvidia GeFORCE graphics card, drivers, and directX9. Upon start-up, DXDLLREG.EXE continues to open in quickview. Does not seem to do anything, but is very annoying. Only one hit on google during a search has any info relating to this, but you must register with them to get an answer...something I do not want to do. Any suggestions????

Start > Run > msconfig > Startup and uncheck the offending program.

did this but must use select start-up, becuse in normal mode it continues to come up even when I tell it not to. Each time the box gets checked again by windows (?

Any other suggestions?

Look for it in your startup folder and remove it.
