DirectX 9.0b

I downloaded DirectX 9.0b from Microsoft. It did not
install due after failing the test for XP. The message
was DirectX did not copy a file. Is there somewhere
else I could get a good file?

You can get a good file from Microsoft.
If something was wrong with your file, it is most likely a download
issue and not as likely a corrupt file on Microsoft's server.
