Directory comparison utility?

Are there any freeware utilities that will compare all the files in a
directory (and its subdirectories)?

Something along the lines of Beyond Compare or ExamDiff Pro, which are
shareware programs.

2xExplorer can compare all files in a directory, not subdirectories though.

Hmm, from the description it says "Programs to view the differences (i.e.
Microsoft's WinDiff or WinMerge) between files with the same name can be
launched by double-clicking"

So this program doesn't tell you the differences, that would require some
other program, which is what I am seeking?

+1 for WinMerge, it indeed does directory diffs too.

Get the latest experimental build, it's stable enough (well, never
had any problem, really) and the earlier versions are still a bit
behind in features.
