How do you network to Windows XP computers DIRECTLY (without a hub or
router)? We have been trying unsuccessfully. Thank you in advance,

If it's only 2 computers you can go peer-to-peer(crossover -- single
cable) this will allow you to share files, printers, and Internet
connection between two computers. if it's multiple computers you would
need a router, and *possibly* If you can find the older NICS a thin
coax connection for multiple computers in a series(bulky and less
scaleable tho) the only other option I'd say is a router/hub thier
pretty inexpensive nowadays $45.00 would get you a network in the
box(no frills) and possibly two NICS & cat5 cables
