This may be a stupid question, but I'm wondering if theres
a way I can bypass a DSL Router, and directly connect with
a friend's computer. We're both using Windows XP Home.
I've tried some setup things for both our systems and the
routers, and can't figure it out. What I'd like to be
able to do is add his computer as a network place on my
system, and put my system in his network places for file
transfers. The other reason for this is for gaming, so
that one of use can start a game directly with the other
person, which requires an IP. The obvious problem is that
the IP for his computer is hidden by the DSL Router in
front of it, and mine is hidden from him in the same way.
Any advice on the subject would be appreciated.
