Direct Cable Connection

I need to move some large files from a Win95 laptop to an
XP laptop. Is the best way a direct cable connection
using Host/Guest? If so, how does this work?
 
you need to use a crossover cable to connect them or have
a hub between them if you don't want to use a special
crossover cable. regualar ethernet cables are different
than crossover cables though they look the same.

then you have to make sure both pc's are on the same
subnet in the tcp/ip properties and they must be set
manually. same subnet mask and network number must be
set but unique machine ID.

look up "how to connect two PC's" on google if you have
more trouble.
