I need to set up an incoming connection using a direct
cable connection with a port speed of 64000 or 56000.
Neither of these options is available. Is there a
registry key that can be added or changed to allow
selection of one or both of these data rates?

well are you using a serial, parallel, or cat 5 type of cabling, it wouldnt be a registry tweak, it would be in the properties of the port

thank you for your reply,

As far as windows is concerned I am using a serial null
modem cable.

When I go to the properties of COM1 I can select from
75,110,134,150.....38400,57600,115200. I need 64000
and/or 56000 to appear in that list as a selectable option.

The serial ports don't communicate at either of those selections. Modems
might but the serial port talks to the modem at the other listed speeds
and the data is buffered and the stream is controlled to prevent data
overrun.
