Direct booking allows resource to be double booked

I am having a problem with Outlook Direct Booking. We are
running Exchange 5.5 and Outlook XP and 2K all with the
latest service packs. When a resource such as a
conference room or LCD projector is booked, the system is
allowing other users to double book it. They do receive a
warning message but is there any way to prohibit the
double booking of resources?
 
Did you set the "Automatically decline conflicting meeting requests" option for that mailbox?
