I would like to open my Outlook 2007 Contacts directly without first opening
Outlook. I have a Logitech keyboard (S520) with programmable F-keys. One of
them, F4, opens now the Calendar and I want this changed to Contacts. I have
tried to find the file containing the contacts, thinking of being able to
open it directly, but do not find it. Or is there a suitable to coomand to
use in this case?

Can't be done.
Like most programs Outlook must run in order to function.
Outlook must run for you to access your Contacts. Contact data is not
separate from other Outlook data.

Is it possible to get the key first open Outlook and then choose Contacs to be shown directly without any extra key pressing?

Look at how your F4 key is defined. If it's set to just start Outlook, then
change Outlook's startup folder to be your Contacts and F4 will then start
Outlook in your Contacts folder. If it's set to open your Calendar
specifically, change it to point to your Contacts instead. If, for example,
the F4 key definition executes the command

....outlook.exe /select outlook:calendar

change it to

....outlook.exe /select outlook:contacts

You can also program a different key if you wish. Read your Logitech
documentation.

Yes. Brian has shown you how. It is also possible to configure Outlook to
start in the Contacts Folder in Tools > Options > Other > Advanced Options >
Startup in this Folder.
