DIR2HTML creates an HTML index from a file system directory. This is
useful for building file lists, cataloging contents of CD-ROMS, etc. The
program can index either a single directory or multiple directories at
once recursively

This is the best! I've used it for some time now. I keep information
on various subjects in different folders on my hdd. I access an index
of that folder created with DIR2HTML and then accessed via shortcuts
to a folder I labelled "TUT" (for tutorials) and then placed on
taskbar via a toolbar (right-clicking on toolbar and choosing TOOLBARS
