I have an Amilo series L 820 Notebook, running on XP and
my son has managed to turn the screen display 180'o, any
advice

You need to tell us what brand of video card or adapter you have.
If you happen to have a NVIDIA card or adapter, right-click on
your desktop and select:

Properties > Settings > Advanced > GeForce (tab) > NVRotate
and change the setting to "Landscape (0 degree rotation)".

My Graphics controller is an Intel (R) 82845G/gl/ge/pe/gv
any advice to rotate my screen 180'o

Thanks

Open the display properties, Intel also has a "rotation" tab
on the adapter page.

If you have the Intel icon in the system tray, right click
on the icon and select "graphics options> graphics
properties"
