anyone know of a site or have any info? Any help greatly appreciated

Reevsy-

Do you know that such printers exist?

I've seen a product at the local Walmart in the sewing/crafts
department, that consisted of treated cloth that goes through a common
inkjet printer. After printing, the ink is "set", possibly by ironing,
so it won't wash out. Then the cloth is sewn into/onto whatever you
want. Two or three different types of cloth were available, and they
came with a CD that contained a graphic to be printed.

You may also find information about a computer-controlled method of
creating silk screens for use in printing on T-Shirts.

There are printers that print directly to T's, BUT they probably start
in the $10,000 range.

If you want quality print to T-shirts, you could always go the heat
transfer route. I currently have my images printed on Xerox color
copiers (although Canon 700 CLC and above work well) on special transfer
paper, most Kinko's have a stock on hand. Be sure to use 50/50 blend
T-shirts. Now all you have to do is find a heat press. (although an iron
will technically work for a small Over the heart design.

What do you mean, " have a special roller"?

As the other poster said, direct to garment printers start at about
$10,000 USD. A few also print white ink. I think all require a post
heat pressing, a heat press will be around $500 to $1000.

The Screenprinters board mentioned is a good place to check. You might
also ask on this yahoogroup, there are a few who own those printers and
a few sellers of them there, too.
