Digital Signature

I have an MSAccess 2003 application that uses a digital signature. I recently
purchased a new development machine and am trying to move the digital
certificate from the old machine to the new so that the project can be signed.

As it is now, I have copied the digital cert over to the new machine but
when I try to use it there I get the error "There was a problem with the
digital signature. The VBA project could not be signed".

I do not want to generate a new digital cert since the old one is being used
plant-wide and it would take a lot of effort to implement a new one.

Is there a procedure for copying the cert over so that it can be used?

Thank you Joan. Tehre is a key statement in the article that says

"Note In order to use a personal digital certificate to sign VBA projects,
your digital certificate must include a private key. When exporting a
personal digital certificate, be sure to choose to include its private key."

However, when I attempt to export the digital cert using the MMC snap-in for
Certificates the option to export the private key is greayed-out and a
message at the bottom of the dialog box says that the private key is marked
as not-exportable.

I'm beginning to think it would be easier to bite the bullet and generate a
new certificate and just take the time to load it on all of the machines.

Unless you have any other suggestions, that's what I'm going to end up
doing. Why does Microsoft have to make these things so complicated?

I have nothing more to suggest. I haven't worked with certificates.

Is it possible that you have to be logged in as a administrator on the
machine to export it?
 
I am logged in as Administrator. Is there another MS newsgroup that you would
see as a better forum for this question?
