Digital pictures won't come up

I have a CD with photos on it that was provided by a photo
shop here in town. My laptop brings up the pictures
correctly but my desktop (which is newer) does not..it
says it can not find the executable (*.exe) file. Both
systems are running Windows XP home. Any ideas on why one
CD player would not "see" the file? Thanks.
 
What is the file extention of the pictures you are trying to open....? and
do you have any software that will open that type.
