Make a new folder on your C drive.
Name it Recovery
Go to this site:
http://www.foto-erhardt.de/modules.php?name=Downloads
Download the free file: Digital Image Recovery in your Recovery folder.
The file will be Digital Image Recovery.zip
Once in your folder you need to "unzip" or "extract" this .zip file.
When you unzip or extract this .zip file select your Recovery folder for the
destination.
You will now have the file: 32fsu21.exe in this folder.
Double click on it to install the software.
Once installed you can change the language from German to English when the
software start.
Follow the directions on your screen after you start this software, very
easy to use and very good.
You only need to connect your camera with the card, open My Computer and
look under Storage with removable drive. There should be a drive letter
(E,F,G or H)for your camera. You select this letter when the software opens
to scan a drive for recovery.
How many pictures you will recover is difficult to say.
It will mainly depend on how many new pictures you have added to this card.
Maybe you never used a zip/unzip software. If so post again and I will find
a free one for you or just use google to find one.
Several available.
You can also try to restore them to their original size with this free
software:

It does a pretty good job.
To prevent mistakes with photos do a few thing.
1. After downloading your files in a folder, select all the files, right
click on them and click on Copy on the opening menu. Then hold the Ctrl key
down and press the letter V. This will add a copy of all your files in your
folder. They will have the same file name, with the word Copy of in front.
Then, you always work on Copy of.
2. Select all your original files. Look at the menu on the left, Under
Picture tasks and click on "Copy to CD". Follow the directions on your
screen. You can add more pictures to this CD, just insert it instead of a
blank CD and follow the same procedures.
At least you are now protected and can recover your original files.
