digital channels through cable connection?

I have an AIW 9700 Pro video card and have digital cable, but I receive just
the local channels. Is there any way I can receive all my channels through
the cable connection? If possible, does anyone have any links?

I do believe you need a decoder to do this?????
 
The AIW uses a regular analog tuner. To get digital cable channels you need
a digital cable set top box from your cable company.

I have a 9200 VIVO and connect a digital STB, supplied by my cable co, to
the AV input jacks.

I just use the digibox svideo output to view the channels that are beyond
the tuners capabilities, I also use the audio line in for sound for those
channels. Then of course just switch adapters in MMC and tune the digibox
to the channel you want to watch.

I believe your AIW 9700 has an Analog input and you have a digital cable
signal. A mismatch, I'm afraid.
