I have programmed an Access database with lots of macros and also some Word
files for mailmerge letters that use macros. This will be installed in my
church on a server that will be accessed by 5 PCs. A few years back I used to
be able to generate an exportable Self Certificate that I could load in
another computer. I can no longer do that. Self Certificates are only
accepted by Office programs in the computer where they were generated.

I am told to go to a Certificate issuing body. They want hundreds of
dollars a year! This is great if I were selling software to lots of users.
For a handful of programs in one church accessible from five PC's, this is a
hammer to kill a fly.

Are there any other alternatives other than lowering the security of all the
computers in the church to "low"?

John:
I tried it on Office 2007 and with the information I had from Diane (thanks
to your pointer) I was able o figure out the steps for Office 2007. I have
updated Diane's document and I am going to see if there is a way to send it
to gher as payback. If anyone else sees this post and wants a copy, post to
me with an email address or some other way of getting it to you.
