When I connect my Sony DSC-P9 I no longer get the "Options"
dialogue box. What I get is an Exporer Window with the
Memory Stick files. I've tried reinstalling the drivers and
switching Autoplay off and back on again but still I can't
get the "Options" window. When I right click and get the
properties of the removable device I can see the Autoplay
options but it doesn't seem to to want to give me them on
connect.

I'm running XP Home.

I believe the P9 comes with two modes: PTP and MS. Meaning this camera will
work as either a mass storage device or will use the XP inbox PTP driver.
Since there is a change and you've tried what you could with Windows, check
your camera manual to see if the camera's firmware offers the two modes. You
may have been using one mode and accidentally switched to he other mode.

good luck!

Thanks for the Info. The P9 has two USB modes - Normal and
PTP (peer to peer???). It is set the same as it always has
been. I've tried switching it to PTP and it brings up the
"Choose and action" window. Unfortunatley PTP seems to be
much slower than "Normal."
