I have a HP315 digital camera. I am using a 126MB card.
XP will not recognize the 126 card. Don't tell me to use
the old 8mb card. I want more pictures with my camera.
Can anyone tell me how to get it to upload to my
computer? HP cant help......gave me some mishmash
explaination. Nor can microsoft.

I had the same problem. I am also using a 128 and a
256mb card. When you download more than 32 pictures to
your PC from the camera, DO NOT use thumbnails. Without
the thumbnails I was able to download 83 pictures with no
trouble, with thumbnails it locked up on me.

Are you downloading from the card in the camera or are you
using a card reader?

I have heard of this happening when the card is formatted while attached to the
computer rather than formatting in camera. Just a thought.

Im uploading from the card in the camera to my hard
drive. I didnt have any problem with this 12MB card using
windows 98.

I have never seen a 12MB or 126MB memory card; I've alway seen cards
like 4,8,16,32,64,128,256, etc.

Who makes these odd size cards? What format (MMC, SD, SmartMedia,
what?)? Or is this just a work of fiction? Maybe typos? Do tell!

You stated that the same memory card worked OK when you were using
Win98? If that's true, then the card is good.

Plug your camera in to the PC. Can you see your camera listed when
you open Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device Manager? Does XP
recognize the old 8 mb card when that's inserted into the camera?
