Difficulty loading XP professional into new system

I am having a problem working with a new motherboard and loading Windows XP Professional. It is complicated by the fact that I have set up a RAID 0 Array with two SATA drives under Promise. Created the array with the two drives and tried to load XP with no success. Wouldn't recognize the HDD. Used a Millinnea Start up disk to get the system to boot, then formated the drives using MaxBlast3 software. Tried to reboot system to load windows XP again and receive message "NTLDR missing, hit start" or "NTLDR missing, hit control*alt*delete". In either instance I wind up back at the same place and cannot load the OS

Any advice at this point would be immensly helpful

I'm fairly certain that your M/B manual will tell you how to install the
Raid drivers so that you can load the operating system.

you need to press F6 right at the beginning of XP setup to provide it w/
the floppy disk that has the RAID drivers on it. you motherboard manual
should tell you this...

the "hit F6" is the very first thing that the xp install puts up; you're
doing something wrong. reboot to the CD, not to the HD, and do a clean
install.

Very early in the boot process, just after having booted from the
WinXP CD, the
screen will display the words to the effect: "Setup is examining your
system." Press <F6> when this happens, and have the WinXP-specific
drivers for your SCSI or IDE controller available on a floppy disk.

Appreciate input. The motherboard manual tells me to load the
drivers during the OS installation by hitting F6. Unfortunately, I
cannot get to that screen. I am stuck on "NTLDR missing" message.
Looking on Microsft XP site I found info on NTLDR that tells what
happened and a suggestion how to fix it. I will try their fix and
hope it works.
