We have xp running with 5 users. After a long period (honeymoon?) where
everything worked fine for everyone, now only two of us can access IE. The
window will open and a DNS error page will appear. However all five of us
can access e-mail and use Netscape so I think the ADSL connection is not the
culprit. I have tried reinstalling xp, and IE 6 with no luck. Any advice is
WELCOMED!

See "How to Troubleshoot Possible Causes of Internet Connection
Problems" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=314095). If this does
not help, you may want to post this to
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.browser.

First eliminate any scumware.
See
Dealing with Unwanted Spyware, Parasites, Toolbars and Search Engines
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
