I am trying to find a way to be able to start/restart my PC with
different configurations. Currently, I start the PC and then go into
the msconfig and turn off what I don't want to run. What a waste of
time.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Type Hardware profiles in help.

Why don't you disable everything in MSConfig. Put the commands in Shortcuts. Then start what you want by dbl clicking the icon..

David,
Thanks for the help. The problem with the Hardware profile is that it
will only work with hardware. I need to also ensure certain software
or startup files are also off. I think I maybe able to open up as
another user with the spec's that I am looking for. I just thought
that there was an easier way to do what I want.
Thanks again.

It is not just hardware. Between the two suggestions I gave, you have exactly what you want.

Hardware Profiles does drivers and services. AV programs have drivers and services yet no hardware is involved.

I'm unsure if HW profiles include Machine started programs or not (as I only start clean). Test and find out.

By taking the command lines out of the autostart registry keys and other places you can put them into icons and click whichever cfg you want after you start.

How about setting up different Windows Users?
Vontrol Panel | User Accounts

If you don't like hardware profiles.

Use commands lile

Net Stop <Service Name>

SC Stop <driver or service>
