Different profiles with a hotmail account

I have several different profiles on my two computers
(one with Windows XP installed and the other one with
Windows ME installed).
The problem is that there is only one profile who can
actually reach her hotmail-account. MSN messenger informs
the other profiles about new mail but they are not able
to reach it. This problem is present on both computers.

Hi Kelly
Are you "signing out" of the accessible account and then "signing in" for
the accounts that are inaccessible?

Every user is signing out (completely) from their profile
in Windows that are directly connected to their hotmail
accounts including MSN messenger. There is only one
profile that has no problem accessing her hotmail account
even though the other profiles has both singed in and out
before her. How else would the different profiles sign in
and out?

What version are you guys using ? Help>About MSN Messenger
And what happens when you try to open the Inbox on the "other" accounts?

Just so you know, I ain't no expert, but with my wife and 2 kids, as well as
myself having hotmail accounts and running 3 versions of windows I have
some experience with all these FUN things.

Sorry
I forgot to mention...
Open MSN Messenger and choose Help> Help Topics
Click on the first selection "Having two Messenger Programs on your
computer".
I don't know (?) but perhaps this is where you are running into trouble.

We are using MSN Messenger 6.1 (6.1.0203).
When the MSN popup message informs about new mail (how
many messages etc.) it's possible to click on the message
which opens up a new or already opened Internet Explorer
html page which for couple of seconds tries to retrieve
the corresponding hotmail inbox. This page turns out to
be blank and claims to be done.
Now I haven't yet been able to visit the help section
(due to the time matter) but I would like to thank you
for helping me so far, I'm so new regarding these things
and I'm so glad that someone responded to my question!

The problem is not because MSN Messenger and Windows
Messenger are running at the same time - which they are
not (the reply in the help section about "Having two
messenger programs on your computer").
The profiles are signed in to their own profile and using
their own profiles on MSN Messenger which is the only
messenger program runing in every profile.
My problem is not yet solved!

You may want to try uninstalling MSN Messenger as follows...

Start >Setting >Control Panel >Add/Remove Programs
Scroll down to MSN Messenger and choose Change/Remove and follow the
prompts.
Reboot the computer and then reinstall MSN Messenger and set up the profiles
(again).

Many times it's just a heck of a lot easier doing this as opposed to
troubleshooting,
but drop them a line and see what they have to say.
Please re back and let us know how you make out.
No doubt, you are NOT the only person whom has had trouble.
Sorry I could not give you a "quick fix"!

Best Wishes
