How can I create different network profiles? My laptop has a configuration
in the office for the network and internet. When I travel on a business a
trip and want to connect to the internet in a hotel, I have to change all
the DNS settings and other network/internet values. After I go back to the
office, I have to change them to the original settings yet again.

How can I change back and fourth automatically/easily between different
network profiles and settings? Any help is appreciated.. thanks a lot!

These programs let you store multiple network configurations and
switch between them easily:

NetSwitcher

MultiNetwork Manager

Only you can determine that. Read about them on their web pages and
pick the one that suits your needs better.

What about doing something like this?

***
Open the properties for the network card.

Under the General tab click on TCP/IP then click on properties.
Click on the Alternative Configuration tab
Enter the values for the other network in the spaces provided.
***

Would that work for me?

That will let you define two alternate TCP/IP configurations:

1. Configure the primary configuration to obtain an IP address
automatically. That will be used when you connect to a network that
has a DHCP server.

2. Click "Alternate Configuration" and configure a fixed IP address.
That will be used when you connect to a network that doesn't have a
DHCP server.

Both configurations have the same settings for domain vs. workgroup,
domain name, workgroup name, etc. All that's different between them
is dynamic vs. static IP address.

I would definitely go for MultiNetwork Manager and if
price is not an issue version 7 is the premier choice

I really like this product and it has helped me
tremendously when on the road
