Different IP Addresses

Hi All,

Quick Question, I have a Compaq Presario M2000 Laptop with AMD Turion Mobile
Technology, It's a laptop that i can use wireless, when i am at home my IP
Address is 192.168.1.46 let's say i go to a friends house 2 miles away i
still pick up that same IP address. But since that same IP address is the one
i use at home then why cant i connect remotely to any of the other computers
that are on my home network? Any answers?

That is an excellant page. Although my remote is all up and working - I
struggled through many of the steps this document outlined - wish I had it
before I spent so much time getting it to work!

192.168.x.x is a private IP.
You need your public IP and likely - port forwarding for your router.
