I have 2 WD SATA drives in my system. Now I'm thinking of buying this new
Seagate Barracuda SATA HD with perpendicular recording technology. I'm
wondering if I would have any compatability issues combining different
brands.
Any ideas, folks?

Thanks for any input.

I doubt if there will be any problem at all. Note whether the controller
is SATA I or II and select the drive accordingly. All SATA ll drives of
which I am aware can be "jumpered" for SATA l use.

Good luck.

Thanks, Tom. I kinda thought myself there wouldn't be any problems, but
wanted to consult someone more knowledgeable than I am.

Not very likely. I have 3 different brands of Hard drives in my
system and they all work together just fine.

A Western Digital
A Maxtor
And 2 Seagates

btw...personal opinion...the Seagates are by far the best.
